The Minisink Spirit, Inc. founders, Sharmin Gray (left) and Theodora Mason (far right) accept a financial contribution from Everett Person of Tap '61 and Feather '59 on the steps of 348 Convent Avenue, the original Minisink Townhouse in Harlem, New York. Purchased in 1945, it served as the headquarters of the New York City Mission Society's Harlem Unit for two decades and location where youngsters would leave for Camp Minisink in Port Jervis, NY. The contribution by Tap '61 and other Minisinkers was agreed upon at the 45th Anniversary of Tapawingo 1961 at Londell's restaurant in Harlem on December 9, 2006. The purpose of the contribution is to assist The Minisink Spirit, Inc. in sending a youngster to the original Camp Minisink in Port Jervis, NY. Ma Kline always said, "EQUAL OPPORTUNITY MEANS EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY" ... so on behalf of all contributors and supporters, THANKS for your committment. Submitted by Everett Person |
