Our website meeting place has been an incentive for many in the Minisink community to re-connect with each other. A hearty HOW HOW to all of our members from the irreplaceable, invinciblle, influential, incomparable, indefatigable, brothers and sisters of Tap '62.

BLESSED BE THOSE WHO ALLOW THEMSLEVES TO HELP OTHERS.
I TRULY REMEBER MY MINISINK YEARS AS THE TIME I GREW INTO A MAN. I SPENT MANY A SUMMER THERE AND STILL ENJOY SOME OF THE FRIENDSHIPS I MADE. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

Yes, yes, yes...I would just like to echo the very same words as my LB Kevin Carrion, from Root Beer Lake to The Administration Hall to Skyview Hill, from Adahi to Talahi, Camp Minisink is where I learned to be and became a young man...and how to live amongst my people and love them and they help nuture my young life and made me the man I am today....God Bless Camp Minisink and all that have come thru it's threshold and have slept in it's cabins, swam in it's lake and eaten in The Dining Hall and watched pledgees stand out front and speak. I'll always love U, Peace and Love.

From sunrise to sunset, from the sacred halls of ivy to the halls of Haden, from Peter Quick’s cabin to Root Beer Lake. From Tap-out hill to Girls Tap, from the brothers May's of Louby’s days to quiet breezes in chapel, and the joyous laughter sang 'Go back, go back, go back into the woods because you haven't, you haven't, you haven’t got the goods that the red team has!' The days of Minisink and the ties that youth brought us...Tapawingo 1979; Teddy, Poteat, Peter & Kevin the young men to the sisters divine of '79.

Once again the family can re-connect thanks to the efforts of dedicated individuals who continue to keep one of the best programs ever conceived from becoming obsolete. I am proud to be a part of such a large family and will never forget my experience as a member of 'Mighty Tap 60'.

I am happy to see that this site is up and running. I hope that it will be a vehicle for the continued development of youth in our communities. Although there is no Connection to the existing program called “Minisink” we can still carry that spirit to those that need it today in our various capacities as role models, youth program facilitators and the like.
I am curious as to how many “Taps” from the 80’s and 90’s are connected to this site.
Today is the tomorrow that Thornie Dreamed of. Are we making that dream come true?
