I was only able to attend Minisink one summer, the summer of 1968 when I was 12. I still remember standing on a hill looking out at the valleys and hillsides surrounding the camp and thinking that heaven must look like this. Tap, Tap, Tapawingo!

What pleasant memories!! Only looking back in retrospect am I able to appreciate and cherish the experience. We were, and continue to be, truly blessed. Thanks to the fabulous work of the Tapawingo Website Committee, I will now be able to reconnect to my Tap sisters and brothers with whom I've lost contact, but who are often in my thoughts.

I thank my mother, Audrey, for continuing the legacy my grandfather started with her and her sisters, by sending me to M-IN-IS-I-N-K!It definately broadened my family and life experience. TAP 68!! That was the end of my decade of monthly (August)visits to 'Camp', but not the memories or the love. God has blessed us all with the Minisink Spirit that will never die! Love to all my Sisters and Brothers!

To my TAP brothers and sisters everywhere…. When my parents snuck me into camp at age 8, a year before I should have been there, I cried because I was homesick. My last year at camp after having been in TAP and Flamingo, I cried again because those days were coming to an end. Today I cry from the joys and memories that the names I see on this site have resurrected. I owe all to my parents and to my family at camp for making me who I am today. I will never forget! A colleague of mine recently asked me what he could do to improve his leadership program for next school year. I immediately recalled my Tapawingo experiences. The experience was priceless and help develope me into the woman I am today. God Bless Tapawingo.
